The Steam-Powered City
Blending into old, winding mountain passes, mountain trolls make traversing these already dangerous roads even more risky. With almost their whole bodies covered in a thick layer of stone, they are extremely resistant to most attacks, whether they're from swords, spears, maces, or the like. These monsters can be heard from a mile away, even in harsh winds, and when traversing these mountainous areas there is almost nothing worse than to hear their distinctive grumbling in the distance. Like all other trolls, mountain trolls are usually armed with just their bare fists, though when attacking they are the equivalent of small boulders furiously falling down onto you. Sometimes they even manage to acquire a log from a dead tree, which they can put to surprisingly devastating use. Fortunately the mountain troll's eyesight is greatly hindered by the stone skin over its face, and it's easy to maneuver yourself into one of its blind spots. By no means does this make killing the troll an easy battle. The best option is just to turn back when that unmistakable growl rumbles through the mountains.
